Little did I know that I got a diamond in the rough in one of my training groups in Barsebäck G & CC, where I was in charge of junior training. A cautious young kid showed up in the spring of 1990 and introduced himself, in his clear Gothenburg dialect, as Henrik Stenson and said he had just moved to southern Sweden with his family. I soon realized that there was something about this guy. He did not only want to practice golf, he was a determined young man who had the ambition to become a first-class golfer. With a tremendous desire to be the best, he worked really hard to improve all aspects of his golf game. His stubbornness and his winning attitude was very helpful and he had initially decided not to leave anything to chance, through training and re-training, he worked his way to becoming the great golfer he is today. In conclusion I would say that Henrik Stenson has just about everything needed for him to stand as victor in one of the four really big tournaments.

In the autumn of 1995 when Anders Jansson "submitted" Henrik (and Jesper Björklund) and entrusted me to continue working as Henrik's golf coach following Anders' move to Norway, I realized pretty soon that this Stenson guy was not like the other "talents" I had trained over the years. There was a glow in his eyes and a genuine interest in wanting to get better and learn more. With a player like that the coach must also evolve and it meant, among other things, that I was looking for the opportunity to work with video from a studio with the analysis program of those days, which taught me more about cause and effect in the golf swing. Henrik had during our years together a precise idea of playing with a slight fade as basic shot (just like Jack Nicklaus in his heyday) and since Jack Nicklaus was my greatest role model as a player, it was natural to pass on what I knew about Nicklaus into Henrik's training to some extent. Another thing that impressed me was Henrik's clear goal and how he followed the agreed plan. It was a great enjoyment to be with him in England when he won his first ET victory at The Belfry in May 2001. I not only have had the privilege to have one of the biggest players of all times as a student but also gained a friend for life whom I always appreciate meeting when the opportunity arises.

Henrik is one of the nicest guys I have met. He is very caring and funny. He has a wonderful dry sense of humor that not everyone gets to see. Henrik is a hard worker and can hit shots that most people just dream of hitting. He has given me some great moments to remember for the rest of my life!

Surreal but nice, very nice. In an effort to make my take on Henrik as short as possible this is what came to my mind. Surreal because he is both complex, talented, intelligent, grumpy, stubborn (border line at times), humorous and thoughtful, all in the same package. Maybe that is the make of a superstar?! Having said that he is someone who I consider to be one of my closest friends. Henrik is extremely trustworthy and a very nice human being. It is fair to say that Henrik was my first client and I am still very proud to work with and for him.

We go way back. Was once a player himself, but his golf career ended when mine took off. Tries to keep me happy.

I have known Henrik since he was Junior. Sometimes you are lucky enough to come across something special. You only need to walk the driving range and listen when the players hit…
In some rare cases there is that distinct sound of pure, solid impact!
To me it is mesmerizing.
Henrik is an entertainer and a world class athlete. His sense of humor is legendary amongst his peers and so are some of the shots he is able to pull off.
He is though, a man that always wants to be in complete control. He is not satisfied with anything less than perfection. As we all know golf is not that kind of game… This is sometimes a challenge that frustrates him. If you combine this personality with a serious case of allergy (to grass of all things), you may be excused for thinking his career choice was not the right one…
But challenges, that is his passion in life – be it the game or a way to further the exploits of the younger generation. He Aspires to Inspire.
We can be almost certain that he will never reach perfection – but I for one will always admire his efforts - on and off the course…Henrik speaking about Kenneth Svennberg

I have come to know Henrik Stenson and his family over the past 5 years not only from my work with him as his full time sports chiropractor but also from having observed him in the world of professional golf for some 10 years. My observations and experience with Henrik leave me in no doubt that he is a man of compassion, warmth and integrity. Henrik is a disciplined and determined professional who will soon be a major golf champion.
Family is an important part of his life and he has wonderful relationship with his wife Emma. Together they are a great demonstration of what all people should aspire to for a successful marriage and partnership. Once you come to know Henrik, you will also be welcomed into his humorous view of the world. If Henrik had not made it in the world of professional golf, he would have been a successful comedian!Henrik speaking about Dale Richardson
